My name is Danielle Lair.  I’ve been taking pictures since high school and I LOVE it!  Up until my college graduation (Dec. ’07) I was still using 35mm film but for graduation my parents bought me my very first digital camera, a Canon Rebel XTi.  At last, I was finally able to stop paying to develop 600 photos from one event! But then came the realization that I was taking 600-800 pictures at an event and not actually the photographer!

My artistic talent was not discovered until my sophomore year in high school when I took my very first 2D art class.  My senior year, I took my first (and only) photography class.  The class was done with 35mm film and a dark room.

I have always loved photography because it is a glimpse into the epic journey we are all on.  A single photo has the ability to capture so much emotion that is often forgotten as life goes on and other adventures begin.  My desire is that I may capture insights into your unique journey.

As I began this new adventure in my life, I struggled with a name and enlisted the help and creativity of friends and family.  Many creative titles were suggested but unfortunately many of my favorite were already taken!    So, Epic Insights Photography was born out of a combination of some of my favorites.

I am overwhelmed by the love and encouragement from my friends and family.  They gave me the courage to begin this new adventure!  Above all else, though, my prayer and desire is that God alone will receive the glory for this gift! May He be honored in each photograph. May each photograph be a reflection of His creation and his love for each of us. And may we all come to know Him more throughout our own epic journeys!
